I taught secondary Art and Graphics (now called Visual Communication) for a decade at a private school but decided to step away from the traditional school system as I found the ‘one size fits all’ curriculum lacking creativity and engagement.

I believe learning should be personalised, fun and take place in a safe and nurturing environment. At my home studio, the atmosphere is relaxed, warm and caring - free from school bells, homework, bullies and detentions!

If you think your child would thrive in a collaborative and immersive art experience, where they can learn to reproduce an image using watercolors on canvas, then this class might be exactly what you’re looking for to complement the Victorian homeschool curriculum in the 'Making' (creating art) strand.

A confidence-boosting, 3-hour-workshop for kids. ​

Suitable for kids aged 8+ (and their parents!)
 
Your children will experience the relaxing mindfulness of painting and be challenged by visual problem-solving such as how to:
  • reproduce an art image
  • use watercolour paints
  • layer art to build depth  
  • colour mixing
  • create shading with light & dark tones
  • create magic with finishing touches 
  • brush tips & tricks

​With a small group, each child receives plenty of personal attention.

Follow step-by-step instructions towards an achievable end-goal. 

Sharing, being kind, perseverance and self-confidence are always encouraged.
